There’s a clip going around that has archery fans losing it: an archer hits a target, and then perfectly splits someone else’s arrow already embedded in the target. It’s the kind of “Robin Hood” shot legends are made of.

The video shows the first arrow lodged in the board, then another archer fires one that goes right through it — clean through centre, from shaft to nock — like the target wasn’t just a surface but a tunnel of precision.

People are debating whether it’s “splitting” or “penetrating” because arrows aren’t perfectly rigid in flight; they flex, vibrate, and even a tiny wobble can make a shot miss by millimetres. But the thing is, even attempting that kind of shot at long distance takes insane skill and nerves.

Some say the arrows are specially prepared (smaller shaft size, better alignment, perfect conditions); others point out that arrows are expensive, so this kind of “perfect hit” is rare and often unintentional. Either way, watching it makes you respect how insane archery can get when precision meets pressure.
